ORAL TESTS

Have you noticed that our ORAL TEST is next Wednesday?
How are you going to get prepared for the test?
Well, if you´re the kind of student that participates in class, tries to use English all the time, and doesn´t reject the opportunity you´re facing to learn a new language, you´re close to success.
To help you study, we suggest you to take a look at the questions of your Student´s Book.
The students from 8th and 9th grades will have to build questions up and answer them.
For example:
HOW OLD/YOU? - you´ll have to ask: HOW OLD ARE YOU? and your peer will answer.
Simple, isn´t it?
For High School students the questions will be all based on the topics they have studied so far.
For example: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BRITISH AND THE BRAZILIAN COLONIZATION? or WHAT ARE THE WARM COLORS?
So get ready for the test. Take a look at your book, list the questions that appear there, answer and start studying.
Remember: PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!!!

India: what our students have produced so far

The students from High School 2 at IMF Recreio showed India is much more than a soap opera from TV Globo.
They researched about the country of Mahatma Gandhi and George Orwell (yes, he´s Indian!!!) and learned many interesting things. But most of all: they saw the importance to respect the culture of a people so different from ours.
Take a look at sone of their funny videos...

IMF IS GOING TO THE THEATER

At the end of May (May 30th) we´re going to have a very special appointment: going to the theater!!!
We´ll be watching a group called THE PERFORMERS. They´re a group of professional actors that tour around the world presenting educational plays in English. On May 30th they´ll be here in Rio de Janeiro presenting 3 different kinds of play: one musical for children, one comedy for bigger ones and one dramatic for grown-ups. The plays will be performed at Teatro dos Quatro, in Shopping da Gávea.
Read a little about them:
THE GREEN KITCHEN: it´s a funny and entertaining trip through a restaurant, where kids are going to sing and  enjoy the fabulous songs about the 3 Rs - reducing, reusing and recycling. They´re going to see that it´s good to be green.

THE NEW SHERLOCK: after inventing a powerful chemical mixture to paralyse and control the legendary Sherlock Homes, an evil scientist and his assistant try to destroy Sherlock...but things don´t go exactaly how they plan...
